Case Study 1 - RBW successful in filling multiple vacancies

RBW was engaged as one of two preferred agencies to work on a project for a key client in the financial industry. The brief, as outlined by the IT Director, was to deliver a range of candidates across multiple technology disciplines for an 18 month project that was to commence 4 weeks after the brief date. Due to the urgency of the project, RBW dedicated a large portion of its IT function to facilitate the sourcing of the correct candidates, appointing five recruitment specialists to the roles specific to their expertise.

The initial sourcing and long listing process was to take 4 days, with submission of CVs directly to both the HR Director and CTO for review. Interviews were arranged for the following week and offers made to the successful candidates on week 3. Out of 12 vacancies resourced by both agencies, ranging from management, to support and development positions, RBW Consulting represented 9 of the successful applicants. The success of this project was driven by the flexibility that the RBW IT team has to assign recruitment specialists to high importance projects, spending time working on vacancies that are business critical to its clients. Not only that, the IT team demonstrated a clear understanding of the brief through expertise in the area - allowing a more tailored an accurate search from the outset.

The client project was completed in 16 months, 2 months ahead of schedule, with all RBW placements working for the duration of the project.


Case Study 2 - RBW recruits key individual, after previous agency searches fail

RBW Consulting was referred by one of its long-standing clients to a company that had experienced 3 failed searches to hire an IT Director. Having already paid up front on an exclusive, retained basis, as well as running two failed contingent searches over a 6 week period, the company quickly needed to identify a recruitment consultancy that could help them appoint the right candidate for the job. RBW has an outstanding reputation for taking on board a previously failed search, understanding the needs of the client, learning the client's business and analysing why the process has failed previously. In this situation the process had failed due to previous agencies not fully understanding the intricacies of the job specification, as well as what type of individual would suit the company culture. On the back of this RBW launched a new process, presenting a shortlist of 5 suitable candidates that offered a variety of expertise, all of which fell neatly within the parameters of the technical specification. The company interviewed all 5 candidates, took 3 candidates through to 2nd interview stage and offered an up and coming IT Director who fit the company's culture perfectly. The successful applicant is still with the company 3 years on, and regularly feeds back to RBW on how much the role has progressed.
