"There are some truly exciting developments planned at RBW and I can't think of any other company I'd rather be a part of."

20140114_7188_1_2048Julie joined RBW back in 2012 with 15 years previous recruitment experience. She was attracted to RBW both by the passion and innovative approach of the three Directors, and also because of their stated aim to have a company that offered a stable environment where staff could develop their careers in the long-term.

Julie, a South African native, was an HR Director for a Financial Services company before moving into the recruitment industry and feels this gives her a unique insight into client requirements. This also enables her to run a 'dual desk', working to recruit both Medical experts and also HR Specialists for our clients across the region.

As a senior within the business, Julie will often get involved with the onboarding of our trainees sharing her industry knowledge and giving valuable advice on how to best work with candidates and clients. Julie is also a very strong Account Manager and puts much of her success down to the long-term relationships she builds within her network, and for the reputation she has built for timely, accurate delivery.

Julie advises our new recruits, and anyone looking to join the recruitment industry, that "seizing opportunities of training is key to the development of skills to become a specialist recruiter." She would also encourage any trainee recruiter to make use of their senior consultants to help with the growth of knowledge. She also strongly advocates finding an area to recruit that you're passionate about, as this natural interest will facilitate the building of long-term relationships, as people can sense your genuine engagement.

Key tips from Julie:

  • Build long standing relationships
  • Create networks and a good reputation
  • Be a reliable account manager

November sees a promotion for Julie - Julie has been promoted to Principal Consultant. This is down to hard work and dedication to her desk and the development of her career. Congratulations Julie - we look forward to a successful 2018.
