RBW annual awards and a look back at 2017
Posted 18th January 2018

Hosted on Friday 12th January

On Friday, RBW toasted the success of 2017 at our annual award ceremony. This is our 3rd annual awards and is always a great opportunity to highlight what our team has achieved during the previous business year.

2017 was a year that we celebrated our 10th anniversary and our growth to become a company with the strongest and most dedicated Consultants and support staff in the business. 2017 also saw us open our first USA office in Boston and our Brighton office grew in headcount, and we're looking forward to our future expansion.

We were delighted to see 7 internal promotions this year, and we welcomed a new Academy and created new roles for experienced hires including Business Development Manager, Finance Assistant and Internal Talent Acquisition Manager.

There were also plenty of team and company days out and we ran a number of enjoyable internal incentives, one of which will see a group of Consultants heading to the Chamonix slopes in February of this year.  We also had a fun Summer Party at Ascot, where apart from enjoying the racing we also launched our 2020 Vision - an exciting plan for how the business and our individual staff members will grow together over the few years.

We've also developed more of a focus on charitable activities, so alongside our normal fundraising and "free" days off given to staff who'd like to support a local charity of their choice in a more hands-on way, we also sent a group of employees to Swaziland to work within a volunteer project alongside All Out Africa. For 2018, we've voted as a company to support Dementia UK and are really looking forward to coming up with some more fun ideas to raise funds for this excellent cause.

So there was lots to reflect on after the last year, but much to think about for 2018 as well. This is mirrored by the awards given out throughout the afternoon such as Consultant of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and One to Watch. Many of the awards are voted for, or shortlisted by the team so it really means a lot for the winners that they have gained the notice and respect of their peers.

No roundup would be complete without mentioning our Employee of the Year award, which this year was awarded to Georgina Rodden.  Georgie is the Administrator based in our Crawley HQ who spends her time assisting the sales, finance and facilities teams. She is a superstar in our eyes and we are delighted that she has scooped the prize.

Keep posted for further updates to see what else we are up to over the coming months. For a deeper insight into the RBW world, follow us on LinkedIn, Hunted, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. #WeAreRBW
