Medical Education Programme Manager Salary: Up to £40,000

Ref: DWVR/14225

Location: Amersham (HP7), Amersham

Type: Permanent

An excellent, independent medical communications agency

Due to new business acquisition, my client, an excellent, independent medical communications agency near Watford/Buckinghamshire are looking for an experienced Programme/Account Manager to join their close knit team. The agency cover both global and domestic accounts and work on a range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, diabetes and infectious diseases, amongst many others.

The Programme Managers have a lead role in directing the strategy of the agency; as it's independent, you have plenty of autonomy, and work side by side with the decision makers, ensuring swift decisions and agility. As the Programme Manager, you will be a key member of the team and will run the day to day activities required for the delivery of life changing medical education campaigns to patients and across the healthcare industry. This position would teach the incoming Programme Manager a little more about Med Comms content production than would usually be expected of an Account Manager - it is an excellent opportunity to develop your understanding of the industry from a more wholistic perspective.

To succeed with this role you will have:

  • A life sciences degree or higher
  • The ability to manage working with complex scientific documents and a keen eye for detail
  • A positive, can do attitude
  • At least 2 year's experience working in a healthcare or medical communications agency (essential)
  • Eligibility to work in the EU (essential)
  • A deep knowledge and interest in the healthcare industry
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally

In return you will receive:

  • Pension package
  • Childcare vouchers
  • Private healthcare scheme
  • Flexible working
  • A supportive, friendly and autonomous environment
