Overall Purpose of the Job:

Ensure that development teams are working efficiently and effectively; leading the expansion and professional development of our development teams; representing our development teams in our Schroders and customer relationships.

 

About the Role:

  • Line management of Enable, Fusion & Wealth Platform development team leads
  • Line management of test team lead
  • Lead recruitment and induction of new developers
  • Participate in recruitment of new testers and BAs
  • Training development team in new and current technologies
  • Implementing new development processes
  • Training support team and assisting individuals to move into a development role
  • Admin of software tools and licences
  • Code reviews and supervising code checkins
  • Managing resource to meet the pipeline of product requirements
  • Work with technical architects to ensure effective implementation of solution designs

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

Recruitment - Developers, QA & BA
Induction - Developers
Training & mentoring - Developers, test & support teams
Line management - Developer leads & test lead
Technical Leadership & Implementation - Development teams
Schroders relationship - Development & digital
Business relationship - Represent development team at Design Council and customer meetings
Project management - Helping refine agile processes and improve development efficiency

 

Project & Goals:

  • Establish a graduate recruitment programme / apprenticeship scheme
  • Achieve Microsoft Gold Partner status
  • Produce and improve on development KPIs
  • Take on project management role for key development projects:
    - Fusion SIPP
    - Fusion BAU

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in interviewing and line managing developers
  • Agile Scrum
  • TFS, GIT
  • C#, .NET framework, ASP.NET, ReactJS
  • SOLID, DDD, NServiceBus, Distributed System Architecture
  • Azure, SQL Server

 

Other skills / experience that would be useful are:

  • Financial Services industry experience

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 Per annum
