RBW Consulting are partnered with a multi-national full-service Medical Communications agency who's Clinical Studies team is seeking an experienced Account Manager who brings strong project management skills and an enthusiasm for scientific communications. Working with experts in patient engagement and experience, site engagement and empowerment, and insights and intelligence, the Account Manager will actively deliver solutions that support clinical studies to completion.

The Account Manager will:

  • Manage accounts and projects day-to-day, ensuring completion on time and budget
  • Work with the Account Director to deliver insight-driven solutions that support patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals
  • Develop written communications for a variety of audiences, including clients, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate and prepare for meetings and events, including attendance on-site as required
  • Guide and support junior members of the team through coaching and mentoring

  • Manage day-to-day client interactions and communications
  • Own, manage and maintain account and project timelines
  • Oversee project work completed by junior staff and offer support through mentoring and coaching
  • Develop patient and site materials to support various aspects of clinical studies
  • Liaise with speakers and other stakeholders and coordination of material review
  • Work closely with suppliers and other agency partners in the delivery of projects
  • Proofread and QC materials to a high degree of accuracy
  • Present in a variety of settings including client call, team meetings and business pitches
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional services, expand existing client work


The ideal candidate will have:

  • A university degree in sciences or related academic qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in consulting and/or project management within clinical research, pharmaceutical industry, medical communications, or related communications field
  • Curiosity and a passion for learning and clinical studies
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach toward client and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounts to high standards of service, on time, and within budget
  • Ability to prepare internal and client correspondence, briefing documents, meeting agendas, draft presentations, and minutes with minimal supervision
  • Intermediate presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to write for a variety of audiences including patients and healthcare professionals
  • Strong computing skills with the main applications used by the Company, e.g., MS Suite, including the use of SharePoint and Teams
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to uncover insights
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to travel as client projects require
