Associate Director, Biostatistics

​Role

Aligned to a key therapy area, the Associate Director Biostatistics will have significant influence on how the department utilises its technical capabilities, ensuring it remains at the forefront of statistical methodologies. They will work on some of the most complex, technical or critical projects, and will contribute to portfolio, as well as corporate, strategy. The successful candidate will also act as a consultant to the wider business, offering complex statistical support to other teams across a broad range of topics within their expertise. Also, but only if it’s of interest to do so, the Director, Biostatistics may also be given opportunities to pick-up one or two direct line reports.

Required:

• MSc or PhD (preferred) in related area

• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience

• Experience as lead statistician in a regulatory submission is preferred

• Broad knowledge of statistical methodologies

• Good SAS skills and other knowledge of other statistical software preferred

• Demonstrable leadership skills

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to communicate complex statistical issues to a range of audiences (statistical and not)
