As the Business Relations Director, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth and opportunities for this dynamic agency. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role requires a seasoned strategist who can apply their expertise across various therapeutic areas. Your strategic acumen and strong organisational and interpersonal skills will play a key role in enhancing client services. Your success will be closely tied to expanding the agency's revenue and profit through cultivating new client relationships and pioneering products and initiatives.
As an integral member of the team, your responsibilities will encompass:
Elevating Business Reach:
Collaborate with the senior management team to formulate and execute a comprehensive business development strategy.
Lead the implementation of key strategic elements, including a targeted marketing strategy encompassing website utilisation, social media engagement, key messaging campaigns, and event participation.
Steer the creation and execution of impactful pitches for new medical communication RFPs, enhancing the agency's market presence.
Leveraging Industry Contacts:
Harness your industry network to facilitate strategic growth to bolster client engagement and expand influence.
Support the MD and CEO in executing ad hoc business development activities to fortify commercial expansion.
Enhancing Current Client Relations:
Collaborate with account teams to infuse innovation and new dimensions into current client projects.
Work with the CEO to develop a long-term visions
What you'll show on your CV:
A substantial track record in business development within the medical communications or medical education sector at a mid to senior level within an agency setting.
Profound knowledge and experience in cardiovascular, diabetes, or renal domains, focusing on business development.
Proven leadership and management experience underpinning your ability to steer strategic growth.
A history of driving business development or senior client service roles within publishing or medical communications organisations.
Proficiency in comprehending pharma compliance and medical communication projects
Profound grasp of the ABPI code of conduct.
Experience in managing sponsored/grant-funded projects, attesting to your holistic understanding of the domain.
Understanding market dynamics and industry trends.
Strong communication skills, both in presentations and negotiations, underpinning successful client acquisition.
Demonstrated capacity to devise marketing initiatives that foster new revenue streams and ensure sustainable growth.
Adept team player, seamlessly forging connections across all dimensions of the agency's ecosystem.
