​Cell or Molecular Biologist

An opportunity for Cell or Molecular Biologist to join an exciting, venture capital-funded start-up Cell and Gene Therapy biotech whose mission is to pioneer a new class of non-viral RNA/DNA therapies to improve the lives of patients suffering from rare and untreatable diseases. The company is solving one of the biggest challenges for DNA, RNA and CRISPR therapies, which is transporting large genetic payloads into the correct cells.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of post-doctoral work experience preferably gained within a commercial context.

We are looking for:

• PhD in nucleic acid therapy, rare disease treatment or related fields

• Solid hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology for pre-clinical drug development

• Experience in working with common nucleic acid vectors (such as LNPs or AAV)

• Experience in working within vivo / disease models

• Experience in developing assays for low and high throughput screening

• Ability to lead projects and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines

• Eligible to work in the UK

Desired experience:

• Microfluidics Exposure – Especially Formulation/ Encapsulation

• Published Scientist

• Computational Biology/Bioinformatics exposure to R or Python
