Monitoring in the UK and Ireland

I am supporting a small but established CRO in their search for an experienced CRA who can add value to the team with excellent monitoring and with help in additional areas.

If you are looking for an opportunity to broaden your career and start to learn additional areas of Clinical Trials on top of monitoring but you also want to still do some monitoring, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you. The expected amount of on-site monitoring visits for this position are much lower than in most CROs and this gives you the chance to be involved in several other study activities. You will have the opportunity to be involved in Project Management and Regulatory work and will be given good training to learn these different areas.

My client are a very diverse organisation who have a small team spread across UK and Europe, Northern America and Africa. They have a network of loyal customers who return to them regularly to handle their niche and complex studies. Initially you will be involved with two Global studies in the field of Hepatology, but this will change as more studies come in and your work will diversify.

As a CRA your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating Phase I-IV clinical trials at sites across the UK and Ireland

  • Performing the full range of site visits: qualification, initiation, monitoring, motivational, audit support, and close out.

  • Identifying and conducting feasibility assessments for proposed study sites in conjunction with the Project Team.

  • Liaising with other appropriate departments to ensure the smooth running of the study

  • Additional responsibilities as needed in Project Management and Regulatory Affairs

Your previous experience should include:

  • A degree in life science or related field (I.E Nursing)

  • 2 Years’ experience of independent monitoring within clinical research in either a CRO or Sponsor company

  • Good clinical knowledge with an understanding of medical terminology.

In addition, willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland for monitoring visits (average 4 visits a month) is essential.

This opportunity is remote based with full working from home when not on site.

My client are offering a salary in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 alongside additional benefits and future career progression opportunities.
