RBW are looking to recruit a Director, IT Operations for one of our biotechnology clients. This is a permanent opportunity and must be onsite in Oxford 3 – 5 days a week.
This role would be perfect for an experienced IT Operations Director or IT manager looking to move into a Director Level position.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring the effective planning, design, delivery, monitoring & ongoing support of all IT services, from infrastructure (e.g. cloud services, network, servers, storage, telephony and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations) to service desk management (requests, incidents, problems, change, etc) and information security & cyber security.
Essential
• You will be experienced in effective planning, design, delivery, monitoring & ongoing support of all IT services, from infrastructure (e.g. cloud services, network, servers, storage, telephony and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations) to service desk management (requests, incidents, problems, change, etc) and information security & cyber security.
• Experienced in the design, delivery and support provision of solutions, technologies and projects within the environment from an IT perspective, considering compatibility & ongoing supportability as appropriate.
• Strong experience with managing a team of IT operations staff (infrastructure and/or service desk resources) in a customer-facing role.
• Demonstrable experience of working to provide solutions for complex IT issues.
• A Solid understanding of security best practices.
