Head of Lung Cancer Franchise, Clinical Development
RBW is partnered with a mid-sized biotech, and they are looking to expand their solid tumor clinical development team. The company recently added 20+ early phase solid tumor assets to their pipeline and plan to add an additional 10 per year.
Job Summary
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Senior/Executive Medical Director, Clinical Development to execute the early phase lung cancer clinical development programs. This role will report to the Vice President, Clinical Development.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the creation, writing, updating, and review of essential documents such as protocol concepts, synopses, protocols, and amendments. Develop informed consent materials, investigator brochures, and clinical study reports. Generate abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and clinical sections of regulatory submissions.
Collaborate with clinical operations and other teams to ensure smooth implementation of clinical studies. Provide scientific input for choosing investigators and vendors. Train colleagues, contract research organization (CRO) personnel, and study site staff on therapeutic areas, molecules, and clinical protocols.
Offer scientific and medical guidance during the course of clinical trials, addressing queries from sites, ethics committees, health authorities, and CROs. Analyze and review clinical trial data, interpreting and presenting findings internally and externally.
Represent specific clinical studies or development programs in cross-functional teams. Develop presentation decks for internal and external use. Foster relationships with key opinion leaders and investigators, organizing advisory boards and investigator meetings.
Qualifications
US trained MD with advanced training in Oncology
7+ years of clinical development experience within the pharmaceutical industry, focused on oncology.
Experience in Lung Cancer required.
