RBW Consulting is partnered with an independent, award-winning Medical Communications agency based in Manchester looking for a Scientific Director. The role of a SD is to oversee assigned accounts from a scientific/editorial leadership perspective, ensuring strategic and tactical initiatives are implemented to the highest standard
The agency is seen as a key strategic partner working with leading global blue-chip pharmaceutical and biotech teams, focusing on medical affairs activities. They also work on a number of 'above brand' programmes focusing on disease awareness and education, with some of their accounts also supporting commercial/marketing and publication activities.
Project types are varied and include all key deliverables (eg advisory boards, symposia, standalone meetings, communications strategy, slide decks, training materials, publications, competitor analyses, congress coverage, websites, HEOR materials, etc.).
They also undertake delivery of digital projects, focusing on content development while partnering with leading digital suppliers for the technical implementation. They have an in-house Studio team for layout, creative and PowerPoint.
Key therapy areas: Cardiovascular & metabolism, Immunology, Neurology, Oncology, Respiratory, and Vaccines & infectious diseases.

Experience
- Life science degree
- Previous medical communications agency experience (min 8 years exp)
- Previous line management or mentoring experience
