We are recruiting for a Therapeutic Area Lead (rare diseases) to be based in either the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy or the Netherlands. Our client was founded over 20 years ago and is a full-service science driven biotech focused International CRO providing premium trial management for multi-country clinical trials. Their expertise covers all phases of drug related trials as well as clinical investigations for medical and diagnostic devices.
Position
We are looking for an experienced Medical Monitor with experience within rare diseases to work as Therapeutic Area Lead conducting Medical Monitoring of Clinical Studies within this area of expertise. Office or home-based working can be considered with some travel expected.
What will the role involve:
Develop, reviews and revises protocol, case report forms, training material, project specific tools, analysis plans design, clinical trial reports
Prepare materials for investigator meetings and site initiation visits
Actively participates in investigator meetings and site initiation visit
Provides medical/scientific expertise to project teams
Responsible for medical and safety monitoring on assigned projects
Assist when needed with data safety monitoring board activities
Provide clinical and medical expertise
Develops training modules and materials, and provides training in disease states and protocol specific requirements across the Company
Perform medical data review – reviews laboratory values, adverse events, coding dictionaries and data tables, listings and figures as needed
Provide leadership and presents medical/scientific capabilities to clients as a participant of a proposal team presenting the units capabilities to clients
Leverage known and build new relationships with investigators/sites to perform site/investigator feasibility, engage Investigators and execute medical monitoring in close cooperation with clients, in order to optimize site selection and support to recruiting and conduct of trials
Able to present or serve on panels to represent the company at conferences and scientific meetings
