Biotech Recruitment

Connecting visionary companies with exceptional talent to drive innovation and growth.

Talent partnership for innovative and emerging life sciences businesses

Biotechnology organisations operate in conditions that most businesses never face. Uncertainty is inherent in emerging science, compressed timelines, evolving regulation and constrained resources all shape how decisions are made, particularly when it comes to hiring.

RBW Consulting partners with biotechnology companies at every stage of growth, providing recruitment solutions across the US, Europe and the UK. We help biotech leaders build teams that can operate in ambiguity, adapt as the science evolves and move programmes forward without losing momentum.

Our role is not simply to fill roles, but to support biotech organisations as they move from concept to clinic, and from development to commercial reality.

Recruitment built for the biotech environment

Biotech hiring is rarely linear. Roles shift as data emerges and as funding events or investment milestones are reached. Priorities change following funding events or trial outcomes. We understand that capability needs at Series A can look very different at Series C, even within the same function.

Because we work exclusively within life sciences, and with a significant proportion of biotech clients, we understand the pressures biotech organisations face at each inflection point of the journey.

We support biotech recruitment across:

  • Early discovery and platform science
  • Translational research and development
  • Clinical development and operations
  • Regulatory affairs and quality
  • Technical operations and manufacturing readiness
  • Medical affairs, commercial and launch preparation

Our focus is on identifying individuals who can operate effectively in evolving environments, combining technical capability with adaptability, judgement and cultural alignment.

Supporting biotechs from discovery to commercialisation

RBW Consulting supports biotechnology organisations across the full lifecycle, including:

  • Early‑stage and venture‑backed biotechs
  • Growth‑stage companies scaling clinical programmes
  • Biotechs preparing for IPO, acquisition or partnership
  • Organisations building first‑in‑class or novel modalities

At each stage, hiring decisions carry disproportionate impact. One poor hire can slow progress; one strong hire can unlock the next phase of growth.

We work closely with leadership teams to anticipate upcoming capability needs, sense‑check structures and support hiring decisions that stand up as the business evolves.

Why biotechs choose RBW Consulting

Biotechnology organisations work with RBW because we understand that hiring in biotech is fundamentally different from hiring in established pharmaceutical environments.

What sets us apart:

  • Deep experience working with biotech businesses of all sizes, across multiple stages of growth and development
  • Life sciences exclusivity, with no generalist dilution
  • Understanding of changing role scope and capability needs
  • Consultative, adaptive approach suited to evolving organisations
  • Values‑led partnership, grounded in long‑term thinking rather than short‑term transactions

We recognise that success in biotech depends as much on how people think and operate as on what they have done before.
