Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director of Sales/Commercial Operations to join our dynamic team in Boston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotech or pharmaceuticals, with a proven track record of driving sales and commercial success. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives, optimizing commercial operations, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

  • Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to align commercial objectives and drive business growth.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for business expansion.

  • Oversee the implementation of sales processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to senior management.

  • Manage key customer relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving commercial targets.

  • Strong understanding of the biotech/pharmaceutical market, including regulatory and reimbursement landscapes.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
