Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director of Sales/Commercial Operations to join our dynamic team in Boston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotech or pharmaceuticals, with a proven track record of driving sales and commercial success. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives, optimizing commercial operations, and leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to align commercial objectives and drive business growth.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for business expansion.
Oversee the implementation of sales processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to senior management.
Manage key customer relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving commercial targets.
Strong understanding of the biotech/pharmaceutical market, including regulatory and reimbursement landscapes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Willingness to travel as needed.
