Associate Scientific Director, Medical Communications

I'm looking for an Associate Scientific Director for an independent, mid-size agency who have seen significant growth in the last few years.

As experts in traditional medcomms and medical affairs, they develop full spectrum, strategic programmes for big pharma across a spread of therapy areas - lots of interesting work and some hugely exciting and important projects.

They're a collaborative and close-knit team where everyone works in partnership, and writers are client facing and involved in strategy on accounts.
With teams in the UK and US, everyone in the agency works remotely with well-established channels of support and communication.

As Associate Scientific Director, you will provide high level medical writing support and strategic insights for clients. Reporting to the SD you’ll take the lead on key pieces of business, oversee and mentor junior writing teams, and ensure highest quality standards.

Requirements

• Scientific background and in-depth scientific expertise.

• Wealth of medical writing experience (to PMW/Associate SD level) in a medcomms agency setting with broad knowledge across a variety of medical communications activities.

• Detailed understanding of the pharmaceutical environment and associated regulations.

• Superb client facing, leadership, and project management skills

• Ability to inspire and motivate junior writers.
