An innovative, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company committed to the discovery and global development of targeted therapies and immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer and immunological diseases. They require an Executive Medical Director to lead strategy and launch in Medical Affairs. You may be based at their New Jersey Headquarters office or work remotely.

Primary Function

  • The Executive Medical Director, Medical Affairs will be leading the critical strategic and tactical part of the Medical Affairs organization reporting into the Sr VP where he/she will be part of the Medical Affairs Leadership Team.

  • The Executive Medical Director, Medical Affairs will be an expert in medical strategy development and will develop the overall strategy for relevant products with a goal to address medical and scientific issues and to ensure the appropriate use of the relevant products.

  • The Executive Medical Director, Medical Affairs will identify and devise strategies to address crucial gaps using critical relationships across Medical Affairs, R&D, HEOR, Commercial, and others.

  • With Medical Directors will provide medical monitoring and medical oversight for company-sponsored Medical Affairs-led interventional and observational clinical trials, if applicable.

  • Oversees development and implementation of Investigator Initiated Study (IIS) strategy and assesses and supervises IIS conduct.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • MD (Medical Oncologist and / or hematologist preferred), might be PharmD or PhD.

  • 10 years (including subspeciality training), at least 5 years in relevant position in pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong track record in developing and implementing clinical research and medical strategies including evaluation of value-oriented research and communication strategies.
