RBW Consulting are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity on behalf of one of our close clients. This company is a full-service CRO with global offices across North America, APAC, and Europe. They are currently in an expansion phase after the acquisition of two niche CROs in both Eastern and Western Europe where they plan to develop their global project and clinical operations team. They are truly one of the most exciting growing organization’s in Europe right now and cover a wide range of niche therapeutic areas. This includes the company’s sweet spot which is rare disease studies.

 

To help expand their portfolio in rare disease studies and improve the quality of their existing project team, this company are creating a centre of excellence dedicated to rare disease (and cell therapy) research. This will be at the very heart of their growing biopharma department and will play a huge role in the business moving forwards. The Senior Director Clinical Operations position has been created to lead the centre of excellence, implement plans to improve the business model, build a team to service their projects, win new business to expand the portfolio, and create tools/strategies to improve processes.

The role

  • Lead cross-functional portfolio of studies and project teams, developing full service project plans in accordance to contractual timelines and client specifications
  • Operate at the forefront in this exciting field, supporting Rare Disease projects across their growing biopharma portfolio
  • Effectively lead study budgets to ensure financial targets are met through regular review of indirect costs and project resources
  • Encourage and direct your team through people management; co-ordinate study activities against targets, provide coaching and mentoring to Project Managers
  • Demonstrate your executive presence, delivering updates on the portfolio to senior management
  • Building an environment to enable employees, add towards company culture and engage with the group success

 

What you need

  • Life science degree or equivalent
  • We are looking for you to have a track record of successfully managing large, global cross functional projects; strong domestic and international project management experience
  • Experience in Rare Disease or Cell Therapy research is essential
  • Experience leading project teams in a CRO is essential
