Journalist for a Scientific & Health Media platform
Medical Journalist required for a leading independent news & medical education platform.
Fully remote – Anywhere in the UK.
Salary depending on experience
RBW are proud to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced journalist to join a leading independent news & medical education platform.
The company successfully launched themselves in the APAC region and are market leaders in what they do. Standing out from the competition they are now looking to grow their UK presence and require a skilled journalist to join their ranks.
You will be a fundamental part of the news team, sourcing & creating clinical & medical news for their professional audiences. Working collaboratively with the broader business on delivering high quality content for their audiences, with unique insights from experts, which sets the business apart from the competition.
Working & reporting directly into the Global Editorial Director.
This is a unique role which provide s you with full autonomy, so you will need to be driven & a self-starter.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of reporting on Science & Health topics to specialist audiences. With previous experience in fast passed news reporting environment.
You will be responsible for fostering & maintaining effective, positive working relationships with external customers such as Healthcare professionals & Clinicians.
Responsibilities:
To produce, create & write clinical & medical news content
Build contacts & connections with specialists & key experts within the company’s specialist therapy areas
Deliver online content, such a news, podcasts, education and videos
Attend & report on medical conferences in the UK & EU (occasionally)– you must hold a valid passport
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or related degree / and or proven experience writing news content for HCP’s
You must hold a valid passport and be able to travel to conferences in the UK & Europe – (occasionally)
Excellent written & oral communication skills – including the ability to demonstrate high level copy & written work to expert medical audiences.
Experience in a news reporting environment
Flexible with a can-do attitude, with the ability to work autonomously
Expert in using content management systems, including Twitter & LinkedIn
