Role Summary:

As an Operational Technology (OT) Engineer, you'll oversee the critical OT infrastructure supporting the core business operations. This entails managing process control systems, laboratory software, instrumentation, and plant infrastructure. Collaborating closely with Manufacturing, QC, and IT, your role focuses on proactive communication, implementing best practices, and integrating OT with IT Infrastructure. Promptly resolving OT issues and staying abreast of evolving technologies to enhance manufacturing processes are key aspects of this role.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement OT hardware, software, and connectivity to support infrastructure services.

  • Provide technical operational support and systems administration for OT systems.

  • Guide OT system design to meet user requirements.

  • Monitor, operate, and improve complex OT infrastructure and equipment.

  • Offer consultation on software/systems implementation and validation, ensuring smooth service transition.

  • Act as a central liaison between operations, QC, IT, suppliers, and Engineering to address complex issues.

  • Strive for optimal solutions aligning with the site's digital strategy.

  • Offer hands-on operational support for installed solutions.

  • Contribute to GxP requirements, test plans, and system administration of OT systems.

  • Ensure compliance with ISA-95 and security principles, working with IT to maintain best practices.

  • Keep OT systems updated and oversee the technology roadmap and legacy software/hardware replacements.

  • Manage software and hardware vitality risks.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years in IT design, build, and operational support.

  • 3+ years in a similar role involving Manufacturing OT equipment, ideally in Healthcare/Pharma.

  • 3+ years of experience in GxP and GMP environments.

  • Proficiency in developing design and implementation patterns, standards, and operational documents.

  • Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure technologies, including networking, PCs, and Active Directory.

Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of OT computing and security principles.

  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Storage Systems.

  • Excellent written English and communication skills.

  • Agile with the ability to quickly re-prioritize and respond effectively to OT's impact on patient needs.

Desirables:

  • Technical knowledge of integration techniques and communication protocols.

  • Understanding of ISA-95 / Purdue Framework.

  • Degree-level education preferred but not mandatory.
