We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager with a background in applied computational or medicinal chemistry who would like to join a highly successful and growing organisation with the drug discovery domain. In addition to advancing their current science and technology initiatives, my client have a strong pipeline of innovative greenfield projects. Investing heavily in cutting-edge technologies, they ensure their staff have access to best-in-class technology to deliver the reliable solutions that their client can depend on. They provide software solutions that enable them to develop better treatments for critical diseases and have a global client base across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
The position
The successful candidate will hold a pivotal, client-facing role within our organisation. Collaborating closely with customers and developers, you will define and prioritise new and existing features, overseeing their development and market launch. Additionally, in partnership with the commercial team, you will shape business models and strategies aimed at fostering widespread adoption of the products.
Responsibilities
Manage product design, delivery, and marketing within defined timelines and budgets.
Provide input into the design and testing of novel features, algorithms, and interfaces.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle.
Contribute to the profit and loss statements for the product.
Develop collateral materials, including presentations, white papers, and videos showcasing the practical application of the product in solving drug discovery challenges.
Deliver presentations to customers and other stakeholders.
Participate in technical support for customers if required.
Engage in international travel to support customers and attend scientific conferences and exhibitions.
Requirements
PhD in relatable subject with an experience of product development.
Demonstrated experience working across various protein targets and therapeutic domains.
Proficiency in software product development, able to work across the product development lifecycle.
Confident presentation skills, both in face-to-face and virtual settings, for small and large audiences.
Knowledge and/or experience in product management and new product development.
Familiarity with structure-based computational methods.
Competence in market research and competitive analysis.
Experience facilitating organizational change within a research environment.
