Senior Director/Head of Project Management

Are you looking to use your senior, client facing experience and project management expertise to drive forward culture and performance?

I am working for a market leading Drug Development Consultancy that has the expertise and capability to deliver international projects across the full lifecycle of the process through to both clinical and commercial manufacturing.

With sites across the UK and US, this company has expanded its operations consistently over recent years and with an increasing demand on its services, has come to me to support a critical hire for a Senior Director/Head of Project Management.

Whilst there is flexibility on the title – the expectations are clear. Lead a high performing project management team and both develop and deliver an effective project management strategy across all candidate development projects. You do not need to be an expertise in the science specifically as this speciality is already present in the group. What you will bring is a proven track record of how to deliver projects from beginning to end whilst building out this capability across the team.  

Hybrid opportunity – 3 or 4 days per week on site. First three months expected fully site based in North East UK.  
Key experience:
  • Track record of project / programme delivery within a pharmaceutical, CRO or CDMO capacity
  • Leadership experience – both direct management and oversight of a high performance culture
  • Client focused with an understanding of how to manage and deliver on expectations
  • Strong stakeholder management experience working with internal and external parties on both a technical and commercial basis
  • Strong financial acumen – ideally experience working with contracts team to develop proposals
  • Experience of developing and implementing strategic decisions
