About the Role:
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead all technical operations at a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical production site in Woking. This is a fully site-based leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong engineering foundation and proven management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment - pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all site operations, ensuring full compliance with GMP standards.

• Directly manage the Production Manager and Quality Control Manager.

• Provide indirect leadership to a wider team of approximately 30 site-based staff across production, quality, and engineering functions.

• Champion engineering excellence and ensure robust technical practices are embedded throughout the site.

• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and site performance.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align site strategy with broader business goals.

Requirements:

• Significant leadership experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

• Strong engineering background, ideally within pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare sectors.

• Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams.

• Deep understanding of engineering principles and their application in regulated production.

• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working in a fully site-based role.
