Senior Medical Writer

This is a hybrid role based in Staffordshire.

You must be able to travel to the office location 2-3 days a week.

Salary DOE between £35K - £55K

I am seeking a Senior Medical Writer to join a leading full service medical communications agency, dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative & evidence based solutions to the healthcare industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a wide range of materials, including scientific manuscripts, medical education materials, regulatory documents, and promotional content. As a Senior Medical Writer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that contribute to advancing healthcare knowledge and patient care.

Responsibilities:

·        Write and edit high-quality medical and scientific content for various channels and audiences.

·        Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including medical, regulatory, and marketing, to develop impactful communication strategies.

·        Interpret and communicate complex scientific data effectively.

·        Ensure all content complies with industry guidelines and regulations.

·        Mentor and provide guidance to junior writers.

·        Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in healthcare and medical communication.

Qualifications:

·        Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (Ph.D., M.D., or Pharm.D. preferred).

·        Proven experience as a medical writer in a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.

·        Strong understanding of scientific and medical concepts.

·        Exceptional writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.

·        Proficiency in adhering to regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, GCP).

·        Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

·        Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·        Familiarity with industry-specific software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office).
