RBW Consulting is seeking an experienced Healthcare Communications Account Director for an award-winning agency based in the UK, working with blue-chip pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. With more than 20 years of experience, they are a full-service medical communications agency offering global strategy to local disease and brand-led projects.
The Account Director will be the operational and strategic lead on accounts, meeting client KPIs as well as ensuring the financial success of the account. They are vital for generating growth on accounts, line management and leadership for the team, and supporting business development for the winning of new accounts and existing accounts.
Lead planning and delivery of client accounts projects, taking responsibility to deliver projects on brief, time, and budget
Create project plans ensuring timely delivery
Provide valuable input to accounts at a strategic level making sure there is growth through overall awareness of how projects fit into the bigger picture
Understand the brand strategy and recommend a medical communications strategy
Understand disease area, key brand data, and competitor landscape to brief KOLs, writers, freelancers, and suppliers
Ensure estimates for new projects are comprehensive and accurate
Plan and lead internal planning meetings
Effectively delegate work, seen to be a mentor and lead for junior AE/SAE/AM
Support business development; attending pitches, presenting on project proposals
This role offers a clear and outlined progression plan, offering leadership and guidance where needed to help you achieve success with the agency.
The ideal candidate will have prior healthcare communication agency experience and a life science-related degree.
