We invite passionate and talented individuals to apply for the position of Senior Scientific Associate in our client’s Analytical Development and Testing (ADT) department. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based at a state-of-the-art facility in Allschwil, Switzerland.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Development and Optimization: Lead the development, assessment, optimization, and application of analytical methods utilizing advanced analytical techniques.

• Study Conduct: Conduct release, retest, stability studies, transfer, and (pre-) validation analyses in adherence to regulatory standards.

• Documentation: Write and review analytical method protocols, reports, and ensure comprehensive documentation of analytical activities.

• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the adequate maintenance and operation of analytical equipment to uphold efficiency and accuracy.

• Experimentation: Plan and execute experiments for method development, assessment, optimization, and application, including forced degradation studies.

• Collaboration: Participate in intra- and inter-departmental meetings and working groups to contribute expertise and insights.

• Compliance: Maintain basic knowledge of GMP standards and ensure adherence to quality control processes.

• Data Analysis: Interpret and document analytical data, draft and review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and Analytical Results Sheets.

• Training: Provide training to laboratory personnel on analytical techniques and procedures.

• Workspace Management: Ensure cleanliness and organization of laboratory and workspace.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or equivalent in; chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, or chemical engineering.

• 3 years+ work experience in an analytical laboratory

• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry, including chromatography, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting analytical instrumentation issues.

• Excellent communication, time-management, and team-working skills.

• Basic knowledge of QC or GMP standards.

• Proficient in English.
