Senior Scientific Associate
Are you ready to immerse yourself in cutting-edge pharmaceutical research and development? We invite passionate and talented individuals to apply for the position of Senior Scientific Associate in our client’s Analytical Development and Testing (ADT) department. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based at a state-of-the-art facility in Allschwil, Switzerland.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Development and Optimization: Lead the development, assessment, optimization, and application of analytical methods utilizing advanced analytical techniques.
Study Conduct: Conduct release, retest, stability studies, transfer, and (pre-) validation analyses in adherence to regulatory standards.
Documentation: Write and review analytical method protocols, reports, and ensure comprehensive documentation of analytical activities.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the adequate maintenance and operation of analytical equipment to uphold efficiency and accuracy.
Experimentation: Plan and execute experiments for method development, assessment, optimization, and application, including forced degradation studies.
Collaboration: Participate in intra- and inter-departmental meetings and working groups to contribute expertise and insights.
Compliance: Maintain basic knowledge of GMP standards and ensure adherence to quality control processes.
Data Analysis: Interpret and document analytical data, draft and review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and Analytical Results Sheets.
Training: Provide training to laboratory personnel on analytical techniques and procedures.
Workspace Management: Ensure cleanliness and organization of laboratory and workspace.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or equivalent in; chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, or chemical engineering.
3 years+ work experience in an analytical laboratory
Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry, including chromatography, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy.
Proficiency in troubleshooting analytical instrumentation issues.
Excellent communication, time-management, and team-working skills.
Basic knowledge of QC or GMP standards.
Proficient in English.
