London: London or Remote Working
An excellent opportunity has arisen within a global, field leading client of ours currently looking for a talented UX/UI designer to join their growing team.
You will love this role if you:
You love crafting beautiful user interfaces and prototypes,
Enjoy doing the groundwork with wireframes and story maps first.
Have exceptional visual design skills, and you embrace modern user-centred design practices. Responsive websites are your bread and butter.
You relish the opportunity to design mobile apps, VR experiences and any other engaging digital experiences that appear on the horizon.
You will be a success if you:
You’re someone who, like us, is excited by the idea of using your talent to make a real difference to the work of healthcare professionals and the lives of patients.
You’re adept at working within existing brand guidelines, but you can also spin up some incredible visual identity concepts when the opportunity arises.
You’re team-player, willing to get your hands dirty with emails, banners and slide decks.
As part of the digital team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities: On a day to day basis, you will typically be:
Conducting desktop research to understand disease areas, competitive landscape and user needs.
Planning design solutions through story maps, wireframes and sitemaps.
Crafting original, pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces that meet accessibility guidelines and follow usability best practice (and look beautiful!).
Working with supplied brand guidelines or creating new visual identities from scratch.
Presenting designs to other team members and project stakeholders, rationalising design decisions and gathering feedback.
Creating interactive prototypes (mostly using Figma) of your designs to test usability and demonstrate functionality/user flows.
Delivering carefully crafted and well-structured design files and handover notes for development.
Working closely with project managers and developers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and in scope.
Constantly learning new techniques, trying new tools and staying ahead of the curve in the world of digital design.
Helping to inspire and mentor more junior members of the team.
Sometimes using your design eye to build emails (in Mailchimp) and web pages in content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
What you’ll bring:
3+ years of digital design experience (preferably in an agency).
A portfolio of beautiful and well-thought-out designs (ideally that went live), demonstrating your experience crafting interfaces and digital experiences.
Solid understanding of UX processes, UI design principles and accessibility standards.
Great attention to detail and passion for the work you do.
A good communicator: written, verbal and graphical.
Self-motivated and pro-active, as well as team-orientated.
An expert in Figma and/or Sketch with good knowledge of Adobe CC suite.
Experience with email build platforms such as Mailchimp, content management systems (such as WordPress) and a basic understanding of HTML and CSS would be an advantage, but not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team with opportunities for career development. For more information and a full job description, please contact Ben Turner at RBW Consulting.
