Head of Finance/​Finance Director

Partnering exclusively with a European leader in the medical and pharmaceutical field, we are looking to help them appoint a key, brand new position to support the ambitious growth plans over the next five years and beyond.

This business has gone from strength to strength in recent years since earlier investment. They have opened new facilities, acquired new businesses and expanded geographical reach. However, the plans are not slowing down and there are already actions in place to further expand the business operations in all areas.

To support this, they are looking to appoint a new Finance Director for the Northern European region, who will work closely with the Managing Director to re-shape the finance team and processes, as well as support the ongoing intentions through mergers and acquisitions.

This is a perfect opportunity to work in a medium sized business with a wide scope of responsibilities and a genuine ability to influence. This would suit an established Finance Director or even someone that is stepping up into the function after several years in a relevant role.

The position will ideally be located out of the Berlin HQ – a hybrid set up is available.

Key experience:

• Established track record working in a senior financial management position

• Qualified to work in this Finance function within Germany

• Industry experience can be flexible – medical or healthcare is ideal – as long as it relates to public sector/government related contracts

• People leadership capability

• Experience within mergers and acquisitions is strongly beneficial

• Understanding of tax regulations in various Northern European countries is a benefit (Netherlands, Nordics, Poland etc.)

• Experience of multi-site operations is a strong advantage

• Must be fluent at business level in both German and English
