With a commitment to continuous improvement, the business is seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team and drive excellence in health and safety practices across the site.

Role Overview:

As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing safety culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have the opportunity to lead and implement initiatives that promote a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. This role is fully site-based, providing you with a hands-on approach to address any safety concerns promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.

• Provide guidance and support to department managers and employees on safety-related issues and best practices.

• Lead incident investigation processes to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.

• Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is desirable.

• Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety management role within the manufacturing industry is essential.

• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

• Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

• Ability to work fully onsite in Dudalk, Ireland
