With a commitment to continuous improvement, the business is seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team and drive excellence in health and safety practices across the site.
Role Overview:
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing safety culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have the opportunity to lead and implement initiatives that promote a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. This role is fully site-based, providing you with a hands-on approach to address any safety concerns promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
Provide guidance and support to department managers and employees on safety-related issues and best practices.
Lead incident investigation processes to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is desirable.
Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety management role within the manufacturing industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Ability to work fully onsite in Dudalk, Ireland
