Laboratory Technician
Are you passionate about making a difference in healthcare? We're looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our medical diagnostics client based in Galway, Ireland, on a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge diagnostics technology while enjoying the flexibility of working 4 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities:
Laboratory Support: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including sample handling, preparation, and processing.
Instrumentation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, performing routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed.
Testing Procedures: Conduct laboratory tests and assays according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols.
Data Management: Record and analyze experimental data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
Quality Assurance: Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards, following established procedures for documentation and record-keeping.
Inventory Management: Manage laboratory supplies and reagents, maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring proper storage and disposal.
Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory staff and cross-functional teams to support research and development projects and contribute to the achievement of departmental goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., biology, chemistry, biomedical science) or equivalent experience.
Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in the medical diagnostics industry.
Familiarity with laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and procedures.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
Flexibility to work 4 days per week onsite in Galway.
